I've been taking pictures since ~1950. Film was the only choice at the time. Later, Polaroid "instant pictures" were introduced and were a lot of fun, but proved to be only a novelty. My favorite film camera was the Canon A1 SLR with 35-105mm lens. Many years later digital cameras entered the market place. They quickly improved as they moved from 1 MP to 5MP, 24 MP and beyond. I switched from film to digital in 1999.
In September 2007 I purchased the Fuji S8000fd (bridge camera) that has a 18x Zoom, 8MP, Super Macro, uses 4 AA batteries etc., and I am currently working thru the learning curve. My personal score for the Fuji S8000fd is 9.2 out of 10 - and that's pretty good for any product.
My favorite compact (as of July 2009) is the Fuji F100fd (5X zoom).
My favorite DSLR is the small and lightweight Nikon D40 with the 18-55mm kit lens. The price is low, but the picture quality is high.
I usually have theFuji with me at all times, and quite often - both cameras.
Thanks for visiting and have a nice day. :-)
